Though we have little information about the specifics of this series, the children’s artwork depicted here was almost certainly produced for the first Great Boston Kite Festival. The Committee for the Better Use of Air—a team of artist, architect, and designer friends that included Michael—held a series of kite-making workshops in city parks throughout Boston in the run-up to the event. Perhaps the artwork depicted here was produced during these workshops?
